After 2 months of staying at home due to the Covid-19 situation, Italy is beginning to reopen and outdoor cycling is permitted. Today the Bike It! crew enjoyed a beautiful cycling around Lake Como! For our first ride in many weeks, we did a short loop with two climbs: Onno and Colma di Sormano, a route that many of our guests have ridden. It was great to get the legs spinning again and to be able to soak up the beautiful spring sun and get some fresh air.  Another reason to note today’s ride was my first ride on my new Bianchi. After nearly 7 years with my trusty Bianchi Sempre Pro “Fausto,” I am now riding the new Oltre XR4 Disc 2020 with Sram AXS—what a ride! Check out the awesome color scheme too—an iridescent celeste and ice white mix. I have named my new bike “Brivido,” which means “chills” or “shiver” in English. We hope to open the shop later this month, once allowed by the government. We have a new fleet of 2020 bikes for rent as well as a lot of fine cycling apparel choices for this summer! Our e-store is also now live on our website with all of our bikes for sale, new and used, as well as our Bianchi Milano and Nalini apparel collections, for both on and off the bike.

It was so nice meeting you in February, glad you came early before all this started! We will look forward to seeing you again on Lake Como hopefully next year. Happy early birthday! Hi Luca / Casey . Amazing to hear you are about to be back in business again , after this worrying / wearisome Covid lockdown . l too am waiting to get over to ltaly also having purchased a holiday retreat in Montopoli di Arno , Toscana . We got all the usual paperwork sorted in Dec' 2019 ,with a scheduled visit in Mid-March which of course never happened , maybe late September ,we'll see . Our retreat is about 25k from Lamporeccio , where Andrea Tafi has his bike camp , so a breakfast run could be on the schedule . For my 80th birthday l decided to purchase a Titanium bike frame ,( not a Bianchi unfortunately , but an Enigma ,( British built locally c 80kms ) built it up with all Campag' , American Classic Wheels / DT Swiss wheels ,&it rrides like a dream . Still have my '76 Bianchi Specialissima ,& my Pantani 'lookalike , so the name lives on . Well good to see you are back in business , l guess l won't see you this year ( our rental last year was the top of my bucket list ) , until this lockdown is fully sorted , but you are always welcome in Montopoli di Arno . Very nice setup, of course you would have Campagnolo!
