Milano-Lake Como-Bormio
From the Big City to the Giant Alps

An epic change of scenery that's best accomplished by bike: ride from the big city of Milan to the Italian Alps, passing through Lake Como and the famous Valtellina valley, almost entirely on cycle paths or easy gravel roads!
We can deliver the bikes to you in Milan, where you'll start your journey along the bike path system in the city, which soon turns to a dirt and gravel path along the Adda River, reaching the city of Lecco, the second biggest city after Como on the lake. From Lecco you take the train to Varenna to avoid the busy road section, and then ferry to Menaggio to continue your adventure on Lake Como's Western branch. Lakeside paths and quaint, cobbled streets guide you to the tip of the Lake where the Alps begin to emerge. 
From Colico begins the famous "Sentiero Valtellina", an amazing cycle path through the valley that slowly climbs deeper into the Alps, surrounded by vineyards and alpine scenery, until reaching Bormio, your final destination. Enjoy this iconic mountain town at over 1000m a.s.l. and be sure to enjoy a big bowl of pizzoccheri pasta to celebrate your biking trip!
