Casey & Luca: Our Story

We met through our passion for cycling, and now we want to share it with you as well ...
Luca Negri
Luca: I was born and grew up near Lake Como, and I’ve ridden every road in the area and hiked every mountain. Everyone in my family is a cyclist. My father passed down the cycling passion to me, and we still ride together today with our close friends and neighbors around Lake Como. My brother Fabio is certainly the strongest rider, he raced professionally for a few years! When I met Casey my life changed! Ever since, we have been exploring Lake Como by bike and on foot together…and we got married! Now we are happy to call this wonderful place our home.

Casey: I was studying business abroad in Milan and had brought Fausto with me, my “Bianchi Sempre Pro” road bike. I traveled to a few Granfondos in Northern Italy, where I met Luca's family and friends at the GF Cinque Terre in 2013. Knowing they were special people, I hopped on the train to Lecco two months after the race to ride with the family, and on my third trip, I finally met the famous Luca!

     In 2018, we opened Bike It!, the first and only bike shop and rental in Bellagio, to be your go-to place for exceptional service and bike rentals, featuring Bianchi, the most historical cycling brand in Italy. We have the largest and widest selection of rental bikes you can find on Lake Como, as well as the gear and equipment you need.
Why Bianchi? Because it was the chosen brand of each of our first road bikes; it’s historic and legendary, like the Madonna del Ghisallo, the famous climb that sits above our shop. Walk into the Ghisallo Cycling Museum or Cycling Chapel and you’ll see what Bianchi really is!
